With the COVID-19 virus, came a true concern over health, over protecting oneself, and of fear. Unfortunately, the greatest effect of the virus will be in the financial devastation to many. Whether it is being able to pay rent, put food on the table, or keep the utilities on – a large chunk of our community are now in financial peril.
Love Chapel is here to try and soften that financial hardship. Through our financial assistance program, or at the pantry, we are seeing an overwhelming volume of new people searching for help. We ask your support in making a difference for those in need. If you are able, please help keep someone’s heat on, rent paid, or food on the table by donating now.
While we have made modifications for safety, our food pantry is still open six days a week. In addition to a family’s monthly visit, we now are offering weekly Love Chapel Care Packets where a family is given staples such as milk, vegetables, bread, peanut butter, canned meat. Families are eligible to get these Care Packets weekly and for many, this may be their only source of nutrition for the week.
Our financial assistance office is still open, but we are doing everything electronically or telephonically for safety to our clients and staff.
